Just curious...why is this one a Brasilian lady and the Asian lady in the same costume and Asian lady in a Brasilian costume? In other words, why isn`t this woman, say, a European woman in a Brasilian costume?

That's a good question, and I did make the assumption that she was Brazilian based on her skin colour, even though I know well enough that both Brazilians come in different skin colours as do Europeans. It could be that the Asian girl in a Brazilian costume is herself Brazilian: there are, of course, 1.3 - 1.5 million Brazilians of Japanese descent living in Brazil, and I have seen some students here in Vancouver with Asian features speaking Portuguese. Then again, she could have been Canadian who just happened to speak Portuguese. All are possible because I didn't talk to any of the people mentioned above.
