Brentwood Town Centre Station Elevator Out of Service
It directly affected me, my having gotten off with my bike. I briefly considered the instructions, but then said to hell with it and walked down the stairs.

Now, imagine if you were handicapped... THAT would be a big inconvenience. I know some people with disabilities who would have to take a 30-minute detour because of that kind of stuff.

Exactly. The instructions at the bottom of the elevator are similarly inconvenient: to head West with Brentwood as your starting point, you have to go backwards to Holdom, go down the elevator, then back up, and onto a Westbound train. At least the system is *in theory* fully accessible (it used to be *actually* not fully accessible). That said, it's been a long time since I haven't seen a notice about an elevator, at some station or another, being under maintenance.
